Hemophilia Options – Our Dedication Continues… By Pam Smith, RN, Director of Business Development & Marketing |
|
We take great pride in our commitment to the bleeding disorders community. Over the past few months, we have grown stronger by uniting the experience and talents of our bleeding disorder divisions: Infusion Specialties, Inc. and Option Care. With this combination of strength, experience and dedication to the community, we move forward with our name HEMOPHILIA OPTIONS. Hemophilia Options provides complete service to the bleeding disorders community. We are the “National Program with a Local Touch.” “Local Touch” means local nursing, local administration sites, local clinical support and local urgent inventory. A local nursing presence provides for a hands-on approach, as well as a combination of training and experience, all of which ensures the best care possible. We provide the products and assays you need, as well as our family advocacy program. Our goal is to empower patients to be self-sufficient in the treatment of their bleeding disorder. “National Reach” allows us to streamline the entire care process, keep overhead low, and provide better value to patients, physicians and the people who pay for healthcare. All local Option Care offices are certified “Centers of Excellence.” This ensures that local employees are trained to provide one-on-one assistance to patients and physicians. This proven system results in increased patient compliance, physician assistance, and reliable, cost efficient service for payors. We will continue to keep you informed with our quarterly newsletter, The Infusion Inquirer. Throughout our

issues you will find many interesting, thought provoking, and educational articles. Look inside for this quarter’s feature of “The Adventures of Factor Ape™.” This comic strip stars our celebrated mascot, Factor Ape™. Factor Ape ™ is our cheerful primate that takes us around the world in search of those in need of a factor infusion. His advice to our readers has always been, “Read the clues, then infuse!” Factor Ape™ delivers important messages about compliance and empowers our young patients to take charge of their bleeding disorder. Be assured that the people you deal with on a regular basis will continue to provide the high quality service you are currently receiving. The nursing staff will expand and the people who manage insurance matters will move forth in their commitment to you. Your pharmacist and patient care coordinators will continue to be there to support you as well. Members of the Hemophilia Options’ team will be highlighted and introduced to our readers in the “Employee Spotlight” section of our newsletter. This is one way that you can get to know the dedicated people who provide complete service to you and your families. Another way to get to know us is to look for enthusiastic team members of Hemophilia Options at various bleeding disorder events around the country. We’ll be there, so please make it a point to meet us! In closing, please know that the entire staff at Hemophilia Options is very excited and is eagerly looking forward to a promising and productive future with all of you… for all of you. |
